Feeling adventurous? Looking for ways to give your home a new, extraordinary look? Experimenting with pairs of colours that seemingly don’t go together is something you might want to consider, because unusual and visually stunning choice of colours for walls, furniture and decorative pieces is a wonderful “trick” that freshens up a home without having to invest a lot of money in it.
'Stealing' ideas from nature
Consider hot pink and cool green as your décor inspiration. You might not think them such a great combination at first, but why not? Think about it. Pink and green wonderfully complement each other in nature.

The most obvious place for pink and green
Since children’s room is the best place to parade happy colours, this is your safest choice to test this combination. Painting one wall pink, and other three green is one way to go about redecorating your kids’ space. Another is to find interesting looking pink and green wallpapers, or to have all walls the same green colour, and then put up posters with wonderfully intense pink background or have a pink RUG NEXT TO YOUR CHILD'S BED.

Of course, if you are not too careful, you can go over the top with these two demanding colours. The real skill is to find the right shade for each colour, and to find the right balance between the two.
You can even have one colour, for example green, dominate the room, and then just add one small detail in pink. That would look very effective and stylish.

Finding the right balance is key
As mentioned before, the real challenge in decorating your home using bold colours is to stay within the limits of good taste. Since hot pink is everything but subtle, think about how it would affect you in your study, where you are supposed to work, or in your bedroom, where you need to rest from your daily obligations and stress. Also, repeating the green-and-pink pattern throughout the house might give your home a circus-like appearance. Having one room coated with this happy pair is enough, but you’re more than welcome to repeat the pattern in all other rooms using only a few details: a photo frame, a vase, a sofa pillow, etc.
There are other fun colour combinations like purple and light gray, orange and dark blue, but if you’re willing to experiment, hot pink and cool green should definitely be your number one choice.

¿Os sentís aventureros? Buscáis el modo de darle a vuestro hogar un look extraordinario? Experimentar con colores que parecen no combinar en absoluto es una opción, pues los colores inusuales y visualmente llamativos en paredes, muebles y piezas decorativas es una manera estupenda de darle un aire nuevo a tu hogar sin tener que gastar demasiado.
Tomando ideas de la naturaleza
Utiliza rosas cálidos y frios verdes como inspiración para tu decoración. Puede que no te parezca una combinación ideal, pero ¿porqué no? Al fin y al cabo, rosas y verdes se complementan a la perfección en la naturaleza.Los sosegados verdes y los vivos rosas son en realidad una combinación de ensueño. Con esta imagen en mente, puedes pensar en formas de reflejar esta combinación en casa.
El lugar más obvio para rosas y verdes
Dado que las habitaciones de niños son el lugar perfecto para los colores alegres, esta sería una apuesta segura para probar esta combinación en casa. Pintar una pared de rosa y otra de verde es una manera de redecorar la habitación de los pequeños. Otra es encontrando papel decorativo en rosa y verde. Si confias en tu imaginación y creatividad, decorar tu casa en cálidos rosas y frios verdes puede resultar una actividad divertida y de gran impacto. Deja que tu pareja, niños o amigos te ayuden. Piensa en aquellas maneras que puedas visualmente iluminar y alegrar tu hogar. Consulta revistas de decoración, blog y otras fuentes de interiorismo. Algunas de las cosas que pueden quedar genial pintadas en rosa y/o verde son:

- Maceteros
- Botellas o jarrones

Como ya he dicho, lo difícil a la hora de decorar tu hogar con colores intensos es no salirte de los márgenes del buen gusto. Dado que el rosa intenso no es un color discreto, piensa en como podría afectar a tu trabajo, si lo utilizas en tu estudio, o a tu descanso, si lo utilizas en tu dormitorio.
